Bread Pudding

Ingredients:

  1. 2 eggs, slightly beaten

  2. 2¼ cups milk

  3. 1 tsp vanilla

  4. ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  5. ¼ tsp salt

  6. 2 cups 1-inch day-old bread cubes

  7. ½ cup brown sugar

  8. ½ cup raisins

Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt; stir in bread cubes. Stir in brown sugar and raisins. Pour mixture into 8x1¾-inch round ovenware cake dish. Place pan in larger shallow pan on oven rack; pour hot water into larger pan 1 inch deep. Bake at 350℉ about 45 minutes or till knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.

Yields: 6 servings
